QuickMarks created in Turnitin Feedback Studio are only available to the person creating them. If you wish to share QuickMarks, to multiple academics within a programme or across a department, to save staff time recreating frequently used QuickMarks then you can import and export them very quickly in a few steps.

 

Exporting a set of QuickMarks

1. From a Turnitin inbox click on the QuickMarks Manager (in the box next to the Export column)

2. Select the QuickMarks set you wish to export and click on the menu in the top right (3 vertical dots).

3. Click Export set

4. The QuickMark set will be exported into your computers download folder – they will be in a .qms format which is only readable within Turnitin.

Importing a set of QuickMarks

You will need an exported .qms file from the person who created the QuickMark set to be able to import the QuickMark set into your own QuickMarks Manager for use when marking (see above).

1. From a Turnitin inbox click on the QuickMarks Manager (in the box next to the Export column)

2. Click on the menu in the top right (3 vertical dots).

3. Click Import set

4. Navigate to the shared .qms file on your computer and drag and drop it into the QuickMarks Manager or click to Browse and find it in your file manager.

5. Click the blue Upload button. Once uploaded, click on the Close button to go back to your QuickMarks sets

5. Check you can see the uploaded QuickMarks set available for your use within the list of sets. If it is there it will be available to use when you are next marking students work.
