eLearningMeet: Using the ‘Explain Everything’ app

Mari Cruice “Using ‘Explain Everything’ app” at eLearningMeet, University of Roehampton – June 2016

Mari Cruice from the School of Education gave a presentation on the ‘Explain Everything’ app.  She showed colleagues how she has used this app to:

  • Run a ‘flipped’ lesson
  • Summarise a module using the PechaKucha format
  • Introduce an assignment brief.

She then demonstrated the way in which some of the functions, such as the audio record button, work.

Mari created the video below using ‘Explain Everything’ app to explain an assignment.

‘Explain Everything’ is a presentation app that integrates content from many sources that teachers and students can use to create lessons, tutorials, and more for class or personal use. This formidable tool is like a superhero version of PowerPoint. Users can import photos, PDF files, movies, and more from many sources (including iTunes, Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive, WebDAV, etc.) to use in a presentation. ‘Explain Everything’ can also be used as a whiteboard with the iPad video display.

You can access Marie’s presentation below.
