Emily Rotchell presenting on Nearpod use at eLearningMeet, University of Roehampton – June 2015

eLearning Services held its second eLearningMeet in the morning of June 29th 2015. Four Roehampton academics along with four eLearning Advisers signed up to present for 7 minutes on their use of technology to aid teaching and learning. This post provides an overview of these presentations and other posts (linked to below) will provide more detail about the six presentations that were staged, listed below in order of appearance:

  1. Karen Shackleford-Cesare – Students Feedback! (on their use of Turnitin)
  2. John Price – Student Blogs as Assessed Coursework: a Case Study
  3. Janice Kiugu – Using Turning Point (an Audience Response System)
  4. Emily Rotchell – Using Nearpod with primary education students
  5. Debbie Pearson – Use of short YouTube videos to reinforce key concepts in a year one accounting module
  6. Miles Berry – Assessing trainee teacher’ programming projects

Due to time constraints on the day the following eLearning Advisers were unable to present the topics listed but hopefully, we will hear from them at future eLearningMeets:
