Late submissions, marking, finding help and partnerships: eLearning Services Staff Newsletter #1

Week 10, Spring 2016
eLearning Services Staff Newsletter #1

Welcome to the first eLearning Services newsletter. We plan to send these out regularly to raise awareness of Moodle features. Let us know what you think!

Are you expecting late submissions?

Make sure you have set up a late submissions inbox, or allowed late submissions. Talk to your eLearning adviser if you aren’t sure about the easiest way to manage this.

Don’t start your marking early!

If students can continue to resubmit until the deadline, this would override any marking you have done. There’s no way for eLearning to recover your marking for you, so make sure you wait until after the deadline to start.

System status and known issues

Do you get an error when using Moodle or Turnitin? You don’t always have to make a help request and wait for a reply. Save time by checking System Status and Known Issues before reporting to Moodle Support

Ask for help with User Voice

There’s also a very easy way to contact eLearning when you’re logged into Moodle. Click the red question mark in the bottom right corner, and it will send us a message and useful information to solve your problem. We will reply between 9-2 and 4-5 on weekdays.

Partnerships email

Are you working with any of our collaborative partners? There is now a dedicated email address you can contact for support.
