Induction week: eLearning Services Staff Newsletter #12

Welcome to induction week! It’s a whirl of activity around the university as students are now here on campus and getting access to their Moodle sites. We know everyone is super busy at the moment, so this week’s newsletter is here to give you the information you need to be prepared for teaching to start.

Our helpdesk is open from 9-5 on weekdays for the next few weeks.
The best way to get support is to use the User Voice help form, available at the bottom right hand corner of every Moodle page. Otherwise, give us a call on 020 8392 5006.

Our checklist has all the information you need to get your site ready for next week. Remember, some students will already be enrolled on the site, so it’s a good idea to check out your site in student view and hide anything you haven’t finished working on.

From Monday 19th September, all UG/PG students start being enrolled to their module sites. They should already have access to their programme sites, and PGCE students should be enrolled on programme and module sites.
If students report that they can’t access your module, please see this information about how enrolment works on Moodle sites.

If the dates shown on your module site are incorrect, follow these instructions to change the start date.
If having changed the start date the weeks still don’t run as they should, then try changing the start date again.
