Spring, resits and training: eLearning Services Staff Newsletter #16

The weather has just turned wintry, but we are already starting to think ahead to the spring term! Grab a hot beverage and join us for some training, or find out how to get support with working on your Moodle sites.

You can get ahead with your Moodle site by following our staff checklist for spring. It’s especially important to let us know if your module code is changing.

Our help guides also cover how to set up many different activities in Moodle, so you might like to think about including some of these in your teaching.

Please make sure you set up a new Turnitin inbox on the 2015-16 Moodle site. They will not be able to resubmit into an old inbox they have already used. Please do not attempt to enrol them manually on the current 2016-17 site, as they may not have accounts and won’t know where to look for it.

Our training sessions for winter are now available to book on the eLearning Staff Training page. We are focusing on Turnitin as the assessments are coming in, but we are also running some sessions on Turning Point and Nearpod if you are interested in using audience response systems in your teaching.
